Newest Mod 2023

Steel Bumper

Just completed attaching a bumper to my 2019 T@B 320 CS. Although largely cosmetic, it is robust enough to provide a bit of protection in parking lots and at the campsite.

About the modifications.

I love the outdoors, cooking over an open fire and going for walks and hikes through the woods and along the streams and ravines of our provincial parks.  Meeting up with other campers and sharing our outdoor experiences adds to the pleasure of the camping experience.

I also enjoy designing and adding features to my camper ... constructing the small stuff that makes the campsite living experience comfortable, practical, fun and unique. And so, here are 20 modifications I have made to my 2019 T@B 320 CS teardrop camper. The 'CS' is for clamshell, the model with the hatch galley at the rear of the camper. Although covid-19 restricted some of my camp outings the past two years, it gave me time to plan changes and add the modifications to my camper. Several of these mods were inspired by fellow campers, a few are from website postings and the rest were just something that came to mind while I was camping. A big part of why ‘so many ad-ons’ is that I just like to build stuff, change up things, personalize the project and then enjoy it, all while I am camping.

This posting is a non-traditional 'instructable' in that it leaves out step-by-step instruction details. It is more a summary of a bunch of projects with photographs, rather than a how to do guide.

Each of the mods are relatively simple. I have included a basic description of materials used and a picture or two. They are pretty well self-explanatory, certainly after viewing the pictures. Most of these changes should work with any brand of teardrop camper.  All costs, when included, are approximate and in Canadian dollars. The cost does not include simple fasteners or varnish that I had on hand. The pictures follow the descriptions.

Feel free to comment or ask questions. Do note, that there are no plans for any of these projects, as I generally design as I build. In most cases you can get a feel for the construction method from the pictures.

If you are a teardrop owner, or a small trailer enthusiast, you may be interested in checking out the Tearjerkers.net website for a gathering near you. The Southern Ontario Chapter would be happy to welcome you at our next outing.
